Giving is a biblical principle that, if lived, produces a fruitful life of blessing. Giving must be done right.

It must honor God. (Proverbs 3:9-10) "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." Don't forget that giving is not just tied to financial means. It's everything - ourselves, our time, our talents, and our treasures. 

We must remember how much the Savior gave. (2 Corinthians 8:9) "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."

We must remember that God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7) "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver."
